Spoo!
Beeeeep! I guess every one of us in Bangalore is quite familiar with such an awful noise. Yes its our very own horns that never seem to vanish from this world. I was just looking at the most pleasant (Well i know its never, but may i call it tolerable?!) and the most awkward style of honking and recollected my memoirs here.I remember the good old days when horning itself was looked down as an embarrassment (At least in the city where i came from!). Now its such a necessity. You have all kinds of audio effects available as horns and some do trigger special video effects! (I mean the frown on the onlookers face!). Quite recently i heard this high tone horn that's typical of an Audi or a VW in our very own Indica!!! Oh trust me, that was a pain! And in Germany, people never horn, forget honking, so these cars can afford to have such intolerable noise machines!!! But in my city where honking is one of our essential traffic rule (as its become of late) can we really have it that harsh? And a few years ago we had this unique system of a playback music arising from vehicle if they had their brakes applied! I don't really know the source of this innovation neither its purpose!!!But was a path break-ing one i say!

Then you have these private shuttle buses with their unique trade marked ones where the driver has all powers to compose his own tune! It can vary from "Sa Re Ga ..." to "PeeP a BeeB a PeBePeeep.....". May be another Oscar for composition in the pipeline! Jai Ho!! Apart from this, are the funkier lorry horns. They can be as vivid as the slogans written on these!!! Then is the usual car beeps and the two wheeler screams that are not really far behind! They are as annoying as any other! The cycle "trin trin" is also evolved. A child near my place has a horn to his cycle that can sing the latest musical hit!!! What an idea!!

But tongawallahs and rickshaw pullers are not behind ha! They have a god given gift! Thats their vocal horns that has 0 investment. It is so flexible that the frequency can be adjusted at your will! It doesnot really honk but starts "Baaaaaaaju Baaaaaaju". Quite pleasant ain't it? May be the most acceptable of all!

Just thought of putting this here as a treasure in the land of music! Yes, music music everywhere but not an ear to care! Now wondering what would 10 years down the lane be?! Expecting a drastic transition powered by brilliant innovations!!!

    Hehe..
    Lolz! ;)

I know,I know..Could meet with it point-to-point!. The extrapolation in horn innovation in our place would be to attach a hydraulic jack fitted with a piezoelectric material immediately underneath the vehicle brakes. Later, we could utilize the current that's generated my the piezoelectric material to act as a varying amplifying DC bias to that of the horn emitter.

All these to just add a bit of rock and metal in the MUSIC!

Possible tableau 10 years down the lane?

If no one implements it- you could design one yourself and give 8.96% of the royalty to me .:P
